Uniform

At Boorley Park Primary School we believe in taking pride in all areas of school life including appearance. This includes the wearing of a school uniform as it encourages pride in the school, a feeling of belonging and smart appearance. School uniform should be selected from the following:

Winter
Grey skirt or grey tailored trousers or grey pinafore dress
White polo shirt (either plain or with the school logo)
Navy blue school sweatshirt or cardigan
Black ‘school’ shoes (no boots or trainers)
Navy blue or grey tights
Dark coloured socks

Summer
As above and/or
Blue and White check gingham dress (or playsuit)
Grey tailored shorts

PE Uniform
The school PE uniform is considered as important to instigate and uphold as the school uniform. It is recommended that PE uniform is kept in a PE drawstring bag at school to ensure pupils have it to hand at all times. The uniform should be taken home each half term for washing.

Indoors
Slip on Black Plimsolls
Navy blue Shorts
White T-shirt or white polo top (either plain or with the school logo)

Outdoors
Lace up Plimsolls/trainers
White sports socks
Navy blue shorts
White T-shirt or white polo top (either plain or with the school logo)
In cold weather children may bring a tracksuit or similar to wear.

Hair styles
We realise that parents are often pressurised into allowing their children to sport ‘fashion hair cuts’. These are not allowed at Boorley Park Primary School, nor are closely shaven heads (shorter than a grade 2) or dyed hair. Hair grips should be kept to a minimum, be safe and discrete. Pupils who have long hair must tie it back during activities where personal safety requires this.

Jewellery
The only permitted items of jewellery are:

A watch
One stud in each ear lobe. For safety reasons, pupils must be able to remove their earrings for all PE lessons.

Make up
Nail varnish and fake tattoos are not allowed.
